Kivipuu aka Fossilized wood

KIVIPUU is a completely non-toxic durable wood based on nature’s own fossilization process.
This makes it extremely durable and fire safe. Fossilized wood is patinated in the sunlight to a beautiful gray.
It does not need to be oiled, so it is virtually maintenance free.

The raw material used is Finnish selected pine, which is processed into high quality KIVIPUU.

Due to its closed cell membrane, it is well suited for different seasons.
Its surface keeps moisture away, so rot will not happen.

In spring it is immediately ready for use without any maintenance. KIVIPUU is also manufactured with silicate surface treatment, which enhances its water-repellent properties.
